Education Program Description: This workshop provides an understanding of the various aspects of mental health surrounding African American individuals and their communities. This workshop reviews mental health amongst African American women, men, and communities.
Learning Objectives: This workshop is designed to help you understand how to effectively work with African American populations with mental health issues.
- Participants will understand the impact mental health has on African American clients,
- Participants will understand the impact mental health has on African American communities, and
- Participants will learn strategies to combat mental health issues among African American clients and communities.
